Good Samaritan Skips Work to Save Poor Girl From Her Living Nightmare

We first heard about Willow when a Good Samaritan, instead of going to work, took a detour that would forever change her life. He found her lying helplessly beside a mailbox, her spirit dimmed but not extinguished. She is only a year old, and yet, it is blatantly and painfully clear her short life has been marred by neglect and suffering.

Willow is now safely in our care after pulling her from IACS, but she is battling a series of medical issues—each one a testament to her strength and resilience. Upon arriving at the vet, our gal was swiftly declared a Certified™ "Hot Mess"—her fragile state, requiring thousands of dollars worth of immediate care.

For starters, she is suffering from Mange—a painful condition that has left her skin raw, incessantly itchy, and inflamed. Both her eyes are affected by severe cherry eye—a nasty disorder that if left untreated, can lead to significant damage. And beyond this, Willow is grossly malnourished, with her mouth showing alarming signs of complications, making every meal a battle. Her journey ahead is a long one, but if one thing is for certain, Willow is a fighter.
